The monthly ten minutes
- Install pending Windows and driver updates.
- Run Disk Cleanup or let Storage Sense reclaim space.
- Review Startup apps in Task Manager.
- Check drive health and free space.
- Confirm the last backup completed and can be opened.
What to be skeptical about
Registry cleaning, RAM boosters and “errors found” scanners deliver very little on modern Windows, and some products exaggerate findings to sell a license. Space, startup load, drivers and failing storage explain most real slowdowns.
