This policy describes how our content is produced and what standards it has to meet before publication.

Updated August 9, 2026 · PC Utility Hub Editorial Team

Sourcing

  • Primary sources first: Microsoft Learn documentation and official vendor pages.
  • Command syntax and behavior is described as documented, not as remembered.
  • Deprecated or retired tools are labeled as such, with the supported replacement.

What we do not publish

  • Scraped, spun or copied content.
  • Invented software versions, prices, download counts, ratings or test results.
  • Fabricated authors, credentials or testimonials.
  • Cracks, keygens, pirated software or unauthorized license keys.
  • Deceptive download buttons or disguised affiliate placements.

Updates and corrections

Pages carry a last-updated date that reflects a real content change, not an automated timestamp. When a tool is retired or a procedure changes, we update the page or remove it rather than leaving stale instructions online.

Safety

Any instruction that can destroy data — formatting, DiskPart clean, mirroring, reinstalling — carries an explicit warning before the step, not after it.
